Welcome to the Primate Documentaries Group (tPDG). The aim of this website is to increase global understanding of primates and the logical implications for human society, a uniquely singular yet social purpose pioneered by Dian Fossey. Her inspiring but haunting story “Gorillas in the Mist” (available here from Amazon.co.uk), together with modern society’s propensity for primate testing have added an unquantifyable intensity to the arguments surrounding the differences in human and primate interaction, and thus the idea for this site was born.

Over the next few months, the Group hope to capture the essence of these differences by examining existing research and documentaries with a dual purpose of further understanding these often seemingly conflicting arguments but also to translate them into a medium that can be readily understood by the general public (predominantly through the use of informative and interesting documentaries).
